This Secret Millionaire is no ordinary millionaire. 36-year old Liz Jackson lost her sight ten years ago. Liz suffers from retinitis pigmentosa - a disease where gradual degeneration of the retina slowly leads to loss of vision. As a child Liz suffered from tunnel vision and always knew that one day she would lose her sight completely. Her parents fought for her to stay in mainstream education and when Liz eventually went blind at the age of 26 she was adamant that her life would not change in anyway. Now, Liz has her own telemarketing business built from a small Prince’s trust grant, over a hundred employees, and an MBE.
Determined that her disability will not define who she is, Liz is about to embark on the ultimate challenge. She’ll be spending the next eight days living undercover in South London where she will be introduced to people who may need her help. She’ll meet people in the area who are not only living with disabilities and financial problems, but are helping others to live with theirs. Liz is inspired by the people she meets and is forced to confront her own disability for the first time before giving away tens of thousands of pounds of her own money…
